Generation Gap between Parents and Children!!

When I was a kid, I have been one of the most obedient child in my house. But as the years passed on, I noticed a change in my attitude towards my parents. I started arguing on many things, I didn't like the thought where my parents had to do everything thinking about the society, we had no similar opinions etc. When I thought about it a lot, I understood that it is nothing but The Generation Gap wherein they had a different point of view and since we have seen a different lifestyle, we have a different point of view and so that is the major reason where children are moving away from their parents. This is also a result of increasing numbers of depression/suicide cases. This generation has seen and lived a very different lifestyle as compared to their parents. Our parents had lived a life where things were limited, where the head of the family (their father or Grandfather's) used to be the decision maker in the family and no one can object their decision. Separation is always better than being stuck in wrong marriage!!!

I know this is a serious and sensitive topic to discuss on but I think it's also mandate at the same thing to bring somethings into notice. No doubt, Marriage has been one of the exciting part of an individuals life but at the same time it has also been one of the biggest regrets for some people when he/she engages with a wrong partner. Her would be husband and in-laws agreed to it. But after marriage they didn't stick to their words and didn't allow her to continue with her job. They also started abusing her physically and mentally, they'd burn al...

Overcoming Low Self Esteem

Self-esteem is basically people having an opinion of themselves. People with high self-esteem are confident and live their life to the fullest. Low self-esteem makes it difficult to accept responsibilities which inturn hinders you from opportunities and you are unable to accept new challenges. This will block you from having a fulfilling experience of life. You experience a lot of ups and downs in your relationships. Low self esteem makes you feel like a failure in life, you feel unworthy, incompetent and this can cause some serious mental disorders, such as borderline mental disorder and depression. You become so harsh on yourself and judge yourself so badly. When I was a kid, my neighbours made fun of my complexion since I am the only one with dark complex among my siblings and that really made me cry and question myself. I never had that courage to accept and love myself the way I was. As the years passed on and I grew elder, I realized that I had a very low self-esteem. And after...
